Earlier in the day, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. They did not start off in the best way as they lost Rohit Sharma right in the first over. Suryakumar Yadav was looking in fine touch but he, too, gave his wicket away cheaply. Quinton de Kock finally seemed to find his groove as he scored a well made 67 before he fell. Ishan Kishan was looking good too before he departed. Pollard and Hardik were out on the pitch but they did not find the boundaries easily but Krunal Pandya came out and played a blitz scoring 20 runs in the last 4 balls to push Mumbai past the 200-run mark.
The batters of Hyderabad looked good starting off. Bairstow was looking dangerous before he fell. Pandey, too was looking in good touch but played a silly shot and gave his wicket away cheaply. Kane Williamson too followed shortly after looking to be cheeky. David Warner was their last hope standing, but he too departed before the second drinks break and then Mumbai breezed through the remaining overs and won the game comfortably by 34 runs.
Mumbai have wrapped up a very well rounded victory over Hyderabad and they now have won two games on the trot. Their bowling today has been very good as they have done well to not let Hyderabad past the 200-run mark at Sharjah, which is not an easy feat. Boult, Pattinson and Bumrah all scalped double wickets. Mumbai will be happy with this bowling performance as Sharjah is not a bowling-friendly pitch.
Kieron Pollard will bowl the final over of the innings.
Sandeep Sharma is in, replacing Abhishek Sharma.
Rashid Khan is out into the middle, replacing Abdul Samad.
Trent Boult will grip the ball now. His figures - 3-0-24-2.
Jasprit Bumrah is back into the attack. His figures so far read 2-0-20-0.
DRINKS! All the hopes were stacked on David Warner to deliver as the top order of Hyderabad was back into the hut, but a brillant catch in the field by Ishan Kishan sends Warner back on his way. Hyderabad still need 67 runs in 26 balls and with the remaining batting order that they possess, it is looking tough for them. But in this edition of the Indian T20 League, we never say never until the final delivery of the innings. Mumbai have done well to stem the flow of runs for Hyderabad and will be looking to continue the same and wrap up a comprehensive victory. Abdul Samad will be the new batter in for Hyderabad.
James Pattinson is back into the attack for Mumbai, replacing Kieron Pollard.
Warner and Hyderabad need to do something special now. They need 70 from 5 overs and Warner needs to go bang here.
It is Super Sunday and the first one which will host a double-header this season. We witnessed four teams playing on Saturday and it is now time to see the remaining four teams play. Mumbai meet Hyderabad in the first of those two matches and guess where, in Sharjah - the home of sixes. Both teams are coming off a win but while Hyderabad are slowly finding their feet, Mumbai seem like having shed off all signs of rustiness and discovering their best combination. The batting is clicking, albeit there are some issues with the top order while the bowling is gaining confidence with every outing. Mumbai are coming in after a commanding display with the bat in the death overs against Punjab and given that Sharjah has smaller boundaries, they will be licking their lips. How do Hyderabad stop them? Do they go in with an extra batsman? One thing is for sure, the pitch goes out of the equation. It tends to stay the same for both innings, but how will an afternoon game pan out? Will be interesting to see.

Right then! Mumbai have won this game comprehensively against Hyderabad. They were good in all three aspects of play - bat, ball and field. Hyderabad's bowling at the end and their batting was a let down as their main batsman did not stay out on the pitch for long and they will have to bounce back in their next game. We are not done for the day though as Chennai and Punjab clash in the second game of Sunday. Switch over tabs for all the action from that match.
