It was a low-scoring affair in the first T20I where India edged out West Indies to gain the series lead. It was anything but clinical from the Men in Blue though as their batting nearly made a complete mess of a simple target. On the contrary, their bowling which is light on experience put on a show and restricted West Indies under 100. Navdeep Saini had a dream debut while the Indian spinners strangled the hosts in the middle phase. Virat Kohli would want his bowlers to keep up the good work and the team talk will be for the batsmen to play more responsibly. For the West Indies, they will have to assess the conditions better as was mentioned by Carlos Brathwaite after the match. Their batsmen need to be better with their shot selection and should show the eagerness to fight if the going is tough. The kind of firepower they have in the middle-lower order, it's all about surviving the initial phase and setting up the platform. Just like India, the West Indian bowlers also fared well and had their batsmen added another 30-40 runs to the total, the first match could have seen a very close finish. It's all about the batsmen stepping up and entertaining the crowd in Miami to orchestrate the thrill of this format. That will be a proper advertisement for cricket in this part of the world. Let's hope for a cracking contest in Take 2!
