2 pm local (1300 GMT) update - UNFORTUNATELY, THE MATCH HAS BEEN ABANDONED DUE TO PERSISTENT RAIN. This was coming. Rain was playing hide-and-seek and eventually, it has succeeded. There was a brief period in the middle when the sun made its presence felt and the covers had come off too. At that stage, there were talks of a T20 being staged but even that has been pushed out of the door now. This seems to be more of a sensible call as the cut-off time had been extended to 4.15 pm local (1515 GMT) but looking at the damp outfield and the radar, forecasting wet weather till 3 pm local at least, common sense has prevailed. Right then. A damp squib for both sides but Bangladesh have one more warm-up match left, against India, on May 28, 2019 at 10.30 am local (1130 GMT). Pakistan are done with their warm-up stuff and will look to come out better prepared in their first league match against West Indies on May 31. Monday, May 27 sees Australia take on Sri Lanka in Southampton and England taking on Afghanistan at The Oval. Both start at 10.30 am local (1130 GMT). Hopefully, we will get full games there. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
