That's it from all of us here on a day when India lost badly. Do join us on Wednesday for the final game of this series. Until then this is Srivathsa, signing off on behalf of Shirshendu Roy, Shashank and Mayank. Cheerio!
Bollinger is the Man of the Match: Really happy today, just got it all together at the right time. A great learning experience for me, different surfaces and that's what we learn from. Everyone went out and had a good crack, one of the best teams I have been part of.
Ponting: I could not be more happier, probably one of the best series wins in my career, with all the injuries we have had. The pitch was a little two paced, thankfully our new ball bowlers did the job for us. The fielding has been great, quite often in the close games that makes the difference. I am really proud of captaining this side. Some really good signs for the future.
Dhoni: Winning the toss, we said the first half-an-hour was crucial, after that we never recovered. We could have batted second looking at the conditions. We fell short by 50-55 runs. The Mohali and Hyderabad game, those are the games we dont want to lose. We lost games that we should have won. Jadeja is doing the job for us, he is doing the job perfectly, so no chance of another spinner.
Australia have been clinical in their run-chase. Marsh fell early but Watson and Ponting kept the runs ticking at a steady rate. Harbhajan snapped 2 quick wickets but the Aussies were in no real trouble, with Hussey and White consolidating with a steady 50 run stand to take the Aussies to a comprehensive win. They have won their 2nd successive ODI series in India. We now move to the D.Y Patil Stadium in Mumbai for the dead rubber on Wednesday. Join us shortly for the presentation....
