Delhi get back to winning ways after going through a horrid time which witnessed four straight defeats. Delhi started off with a bang with two of their Top 3 going past scores of fifties. Gambhir and Dhawan stitched a brilliant partnership which laid the right platform for Delhi to post a big total. Deccan pulled back things slightly and restricted the home team under 200. Deccan started off well with Gibbs, Afridi and Rohit Sharma threatening to run away with the game. Just when things looked very easy for Delhi, Venugopal Rao blasted a few to bring back the visitors into the game. It once again went down to the last over and this time Virender Sehwag didn't put a foot wrong. The star with the ball this evening, Amit Mishra came back with a bang and picked up the second only Hat-Trick of the IPL. Another sad outing for the Deccan side who continue to disappoint in this mega event. Hope you enjoyed the game. Do join us for the clash tomorrow. Till then from all of us here in the comm box, Adios...
Amit Mishra is the Man of the Match for his sensational bowling spell of 5 for 17 off his 4 overs. He picked up the second only Hat-Trick of this IPL.
Gautam Gambhir bags the DLF Maximum Sixes Award.
19.6 Mishra to Sarvesh, 1 run, short on the middle and leg, Sarvesh pulls it to deep mid wicket for a single only, all over for the Deccan Chargers... Mishra ends the evening with a five-for in his kitty, don't forget the Hat-trick!!!
19.5 Mishra to Vijaykumar, 1 run, back of a length on the middle and leg, Vijaykumar looks to slap it over mid wicket, inside edge onto the pads and they go through for a quick single
19.4 Mishra to Vijaykumar, no run, Stumping chance goes abegging!, wrong un and Vijaykumar misses, the keeper misses too, Virender Sehwag is not happy, could have so easily been four in four!
Paidikalva Vijaykumar, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Mishra to RP Singh, out Stumped!! Tossed up and RP Singh comes down the track to hoist it over the top, misses and the keeper flicks off the bails in a flash, Hat-trick, second person after Balaji to do it in IPL! RP Singh st Karthik b Mishra 1(2)
PM Sarvesh Kumar, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Mishra is on a Hat-Trick
Mishra to Ojha, out Caught by Dilshan at cover!! And another one... angled across the left hander and that was the wrong un, Ojha comes down the track to hoist it over the top, skied up and safely taken inside the ring, two wickets in two balls, still 15 runs to go... what a start to the final over! Ojha c Dilshan b Mishra 0(1)
Pragyan Ojha, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Mishra to Ravi Teja, out Caught by (sub)Malik at long off!! Flighted outside the off stump, Ravi Teja slams it powerfully, straight to the man in the deep, fine catch again and it's Malik in action, young leg spinner has been amongst wickets today, delivers the goods straightaway! Ravi Teja c (sub)Malik b Mishra 9(5) [6s-1]
Last time, Virender Sehwag tossed the ball to Shoaib Malik and Delhi lost the game. Wonder why he himself isn't bowling it.
Amit Mishra will bowl the all important over!
15 off the last over, this is not impossible for sure. Can Ravi Teja do something special and become a hero for his side? Delhi has lost one close match in the final over already. This will test Virender Sehwag's captaincy...
18.6 McGrath to Ravi Teja, 1 run, full outside the off stump, Ravi Teja drives it to long off, retains the strike with a single
18.5 McGrath to Ravi Teja, SIX!!, overpitched outside the off stump, Ravi Teja goes down into the crunches and slices it to deep backward point, over the top, lovely shot from the man, 9th six of the innings!

McGrath to Venugopal, out Caught by (sub)Malik at long on!! Full on the stumps, Venugopal looks to hoist it over long on this time, has got loads of elevation on that one, skied miles up and taken safely in the deep, breezy knock comes to an end and with that the hopes of the Deccan side goes down too! Venugopal c (sub)Malik b McGrath 34(18) [4s-3 6s-2]
Virender Sehwag has come all the way from the fence to have a chat with the umpire. Seems as if something has been thrown at him from the crowd, not really sure...
Now this would be interesting. How would have McGrath reacted to the previous over carnage by Venugopal? How would he bowl... It's not going to be easy for Venugopal to hit this man away...
18.1 McGrath to Ravi Teja, 1 run, length delivery outside the off stump, Ravi Teja opens the face of the bat and steers it down to third man for a single, gives the strike back to Venugopal
Glenn McGrath is back

17.5 Maharoof to Venugopal, FOUR!!, full on the stumps, Venugopal backs away and frees his arms, swings it between extra cover and long off for four, 10 off the last 2 balls, Venugopal is connecting cleanly now!
17.4 Maharoof to Venugopal, SIX!!, full and straight on the stumps, Venugopal gets under it nicely and clobbers it right over the sightscreen, straight down the ground, massive hit, 97 meters, lands in the second tier!!! now fetch that...
Dwaraka Ravi Teja, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Maharoof to Styris, out Caught by (sub)de Villiers at long on!! Maharoof keeps it straight again, Styris looks to hoist it over long on, doesn't get hold of that one, miscued miles up in the air, AB comes running in a long long way, judges it nicely and snaps up a terrific catch, end of Styris! Maharoof is elated... Styris c (sub)de Villiers b Maharoof 29(28) [4s-2]
17.2 Maharoof to Venugopal, 1 run, fired in on the pads, Venugopal whips it to short fine leg, finds the man inside the ring, singles won't help, they need to score in boundaries and sixes!
17.1 Maharoof to Styris, 1 run, length delivery, Styris swats it to deep square leg
16.6 Asif to Venugopal, FOUR!!, fired in well wide outside the off stump, Venugopal backs away and still manages to reach the ball, sliced to deep backward point for four, another boundary, third of this over, this is the kind of over they wanted for such a long time, they need to go at this rate if they have to win!
16.5 Asif to Styris, 1 run, outside the off stump again, Styris drives it to long off, straight to the fielder this time
16.4 Asif to Styris, FOUR!!, another one right up on the stumps, Styris smashes it straight down the ground, the long on fielder over runs on that occasion and sloppy work dishes out another boundary for Styris! Asif is not happy and why should he be?

15.6 Maharoof to Styris, 1 run, fired in outside off, Styris comes on the frontfoot and drives it to long off for a single, still not the kind of overDeccan need!
