Australia beat Sri Lanka for the second time in the series and comprehensively as well. It was a bad batting performance again by them as the Aussies made regular inroads and never really allowed them to settle down. Although the start was great, once Jayasuriya got out, the Lankan innings went downhill and never really climbed back up. Although Sangakkara played a very good knock, no one really supported him and that resulted in the Sri Lankan collapse. Now Australia move to the top of the table and the task gets stiffer for Sri Lanka. They now take on India on the 19th but before that we have the Super Sunday encounter between India and Australia. Adam Gilchrist wins the Man of the Match award in his last international match on his homeground. He paced the Australian innings and scored half of the runs. His 118 came off 132 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. They are all chanting and shouting his name. The crowd has gone berserk.
