| Hope you have enjoyed our coverage for this series too. Thanks for your company and we'll look forward to the same in the forthcoming games. Until then from all of us here in the comm box, (Nishant, Shirshendu and Mayank), it is good bye and good night. Adios... |
| Dhoni, the Man of the Series: It's always nice to win a series away from home. Yuvraj is the backbone of our batting line-up, when he sets himself, he always scores big. The youngsters showed good character. |
| Gayle: Rains are out of our control but congratulations to Dhoni and his boys. Not many positives from this series honestly, good to give Darren Bravo a chance at the International level. We are hoping to play some good cricket against Bangladeshis. |
| However the Indians would not mind this, they would be happy for the fact that they have won yet another ODI series, their fifth in a row. Gayle on the other hand would be cursing his luck, weather interruptions can be the most frustrating way to lose a game or a series. |
| Match abandoned due to incessant rain. |
| Update 17:45 GMT: And the umpires have decided to call off this match. The cut off time is still one and a half hours away but the umpires after having a chat with the groundsmen have come to a conclusion that there won't be anymore play possible today. There's more rain heading towards the ground, the outfield can't be dried up before the cut off time. Disapppointing way to end the series but then we all were prepared for this, the forecast wasn't promising and it never looked like we will have a game today. |
| Update 16:55 GMT: Not the best of news as the umpires have decided to come out for another inspection in an hour's time from now. The outfield has taken a lot of water and the groundsmen have a tough task ahead of them. |
| Update 16:35 GMT: And some good news finally, it has stopped raining but the covers are still on. The outfield is very damp, no big puddles around though, that's good to know. |
| Update 16:30 GMT: Still nothing positive from the ground. We can only wait as of now. |
| The wind is so hard that the groundsmen are finding it tough to bring the extra covers on and keep the already positioned ones intact. This is a rare sight, what an awful combination, strong wind with torrential rains! |
| Ohh dear, what a quick change in the weather. The sun was shining brightly moments back and now it's absolutely pelting down here at St.Lucia. It's coming down in buckets and alongwith it, the wind is blowing at a rampant pace. |
