Presentation Ceremony:
Gul: "I would like to thank my coach and Saeed Aslam. When I walked out, we needed 14 runs per over. Umar Akmal adviced me to play my natural game and he just told me to stay on the crease. I like to play the flick shot."
Umar Gul is the MoM for his knock of 32 off 17 balls. For once, he gets it for his batting and not bowling.
Hafeez: "The boys played good cricket. We played some poor shots but we played well as a team. Umar Akmal played a special knock. I knew that Gul hit the ball hard but I knew that he will do well for the team. Gul's batting is a good sign for Pakistan. Raza Hasan was great and every bowler bowled well. South Africa played great cricket and in the end, we were lucky to get over the line."
AB de Villiers: "It was a great game. We lost momentum in the last five overs. I am proud of the way the boys fought back from a poor position. The spinners bowled wonderfully. Captaincy-wise, I made some mistakes."
One must question the captaincy of AB de Villiers. Botha and Duminy had some overs remaining but he persisted with Kallis and Albie Morkel towards the end. They had a firm grip for most of the match but they loosened their hold towards the end. Pakistan have clinched a nerve-wracking contest and this loss will hurt South Africa.
So, for the third time in a row, South Africa have been unable to defeat Pakistan in the T20 Cup. The Pakistani camp is absolutely thrilled to bits. After a brisk start, Pakistan lost three wickets quickly and they continued to lose wickets in the middle overs. Umar Akmal played a mature hand and guided Pakistan along. However, it was Gul's 17 ball 32 that changed the tide of the match for Pakistan. The 51 run stand between Gul and Umar Akmal made South Africa panicky as they leaked 36 runs in two overs.
19.4 Morne Morkel to Ajmal, FOUR, Pakistan win, it is simply amazing, Pakistan have risen like the Phoenix from the Ashes and secured an improbable win, full ball outside off, Ajmal pokes at it and the edge flies down to third man for a boundary, what a moment this is for Pakistan, the tail wagged for them and it was the Gul-dozer who set up a magnificent win with some excellent hitting, as for South Africa, once again the shouts of the 'C' word will get louder and louder
2 runs needed off 3 balls.
19.3 Morne Morkel to Umar Akmal, 1 run, another yorker length delivery outside off, Umar angles the bat and digs it out to point
3 runs needed off 4 balls.
19.2 Morne Morkel to Umar Akmal, SIX, that is a body blow for RSA, Morne attempted the yorker and he dishes out a full toss outside off, Umar latches onto it and mauls it over the ropes at deep mid wicket
19.1 Morne Morkel to Umar Akmal, no run, superb ball from Morne, another yorker outside off, Umar moves to the off side and tries to jam it out but misses it

18.5 Steyn to Umar Akmal, wide, the slower delivery but he sprays it full and wide outside off, left alone by Umar and wide is signalled

18.3 Steyn to Umar Gul, 1 run, in the air but just short, full and slow ball outside off, Gul looks to carve it over extra cover, ends up slicing at it and the ball hits the toe-end, it lobs up to third man and Amla misjudges it slightly, it falls in front of him
Steyn is still in a bit of discomfort.
18.2 Steyn to Umar Akmal, 1 run, short of length slower delivery outside off, Umar belts it to sweeper cover
Steyn is getting some treatment here. Will he be alright? Anxious faces in the South African camp. He is hobbling a bit but he seems to be alright. Yes, Steyn will continue.
18.1 Steyn to Umar Akmal, 2 runs, length ball just outside off, Umar clears the front leg and blasts it back to Steyn, he gets hit on the left heel and it rolls to long off for a couple

Dale Steyn [3.0-0-16-2] is back into the attack
The partnership is worth 43 off just 22 balls. Can Pakistan pull out a magical win? Who will bowl the next over? Gul has played an awesome innings here. It will be Steyn.
17.6 Morne Morkel to Umar Akmal, 1 run, full ball outside off, Umar drives it to point and Levi misfields, Umar retains the strike for the next over
17.5 Morne Morkel to Umar Gul, 1 run, Morne bowls another yorker just outside off, Gul jams it out to third man and a rocket throw from Steyn keeps them down to a single, this is now Gul's best score in T20Is
17.4 Morne Morkel to Umar Gul, no run, the yorker from Morne outside off, Gul cannot dig it out, another precious dot from Morne
17.3 Morne Morkel to Umar Gul, no run, full and wide delivery outside off, Gul reaches out for the drive but cannot reach it, the ball goes wide of the white line but the umpire does not signal a wide
The field is being changed here.
17.2 Morne Morkel to Umar Gul, FOUR, South Africa are panicking here, low full toss slanted into the pads, Gul gets forward and fluicks it non-chalantly to the deep backward square leg fence
17.1 Morne Morkel to Umar Akmal, 1 run, pitched up delivery on the off stump, Umar punches it to long off

Morne Morkel [2.0-0-15-0] is back into the attack
The last two overs have cost 36 runs. This is a superb knock from Gul and Umar Akmal is hanging in there. Can they get Pakistan over the line here?
16.6 Albie Morkel to Umar Gul, 2 runs, good length ball outside off, Gul muscles the heave to wide long on for a couple, 20 runs in that over from Albie, the game is still alive here
Gul produced a similar performance against England in the first Test against England at Trent Bridge in 2010. He scored a fifty in that match.
16.5 Albie Morkel to Umar Gul, FOUR, slow and short delivery outside off, Gul flays it on the up over backward point and it goes on the bounce to the square third man fence, Gul is hurting South Africa here, what a passage of play this has been for Pakistan
16.4 Albie Morkel to Umar Gul, SIX, CRACK! That has gone into Orbit. Full delivery outside off, Gul cleanly swings across the line, he makes solid connection and pummels it high into the Colombo skyline, it lands safely in the stands at deep mid wicket
16.3 Albie Morkel to Umar Akmal, 1 run, short ball outside off, Umar rolls his wrists over the ball and thrashes the pull to deep mid wicket
16.3 Albie Morkel to Umar Gul, no ball, 1 run, in the air but safe, length ball outside off, Gul looks to thwack it over mid wicket but mistimes it completely, it lands safely at backward square leg but Albie has overstepped, free-hit coming up
