Edwards is presented with the T20 trophy as the English team uncork the champagne. Great moment for the England womens team. That's it from us, do join us for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka game shortly.
Charlotte Edwards (Eng captain): Think its got to be the proudest day of my life. To win a world cup on our home ground is very very special. It was a good toss to win and the bowlers bowled exceptionally. We'll celebrate well tonight.
Amie Watkins (NZ captain): I dont think we were very nervous. We were outplayed. Its the only match we lost. We had a good tournament, disappointed with our performance today. I think we overestimated the pitch. Full credit to the English bowlers. I think we created the chances but we didnt have enough runs on the board. We've really enjoyed this (tournament) and we look forward to the next one.
Taylor: Its great to be playing at Lord's. Really good, pretty shell shocked (at winning the trophy).
England's Claire Taylor is the player of the tournament. She scored 199 runs in the tournament.
Brunt: It was probably the most ideal place. The crowd were absolutely amazing. And for the first time we've had such a great amount of support. Its great of women's cricket.
England's Katherine Brunt is the player of the match. She picked up 3/6 from her 4 overs.
So England have won the first ever T20 World Cup for women to cap off their 50-over WC win earlier this year.
The English team run out to celebrate the victory before shaking hands with the New Zealanders. They're now doing a small lap of honour.
