That is all from us here. Join us tomorrow for the match between Kolkata and Chennai as well as the game between Mumbai and Delhi. This is Sid V, saying good bye on behalf of Ajith and Ganesh. Ciao!
Gayle: There is not a lot to say. I am really happy. It was difficult in the first couple of overs. But, I managed to hang in there and I got good support from Dilshan and Virat. The key is to pick up the areas and try targetting certain bowlers. AB also finished up well. I call my celebatory move the Chug-Chug Train. I am unpredictable and I am enjoying every moment in the IPL.
Chris Gayle is the MoM for his knock of 107 off 49 balls and he picked up 3/21.
Vettori: I am happy and I cannot ask anything else from Gayle. It was not an easy wicket and he performed brilliantly. We look back on the history and we feel that the wicket is good. We are fortunate that Aravind has bowled well and our fielding was great. Everyone else who bowled stayed to the plan.
Gilchrist: It was a phenomenal innings from Gayle. He hardly got bat on ball for the first 10 balls but he just took off. The wicket had something. But, he left us shell-shocked. It was a small ground and it is difficult to contain him. We kept it to 200 and it was a good effort because at one stage, even 230-240 looked possible. He also picked up three wickets and he has been a good change for Bangalore.
Aravind: I enjoyed bowling tonight. A big thanks goes to Zaheer, Vettori and de Villiers for supporting me. Zaheer is a role model for me and he is teaching me a lot. He is telling me to bowl a lot in the right areas. Gayle was brilliant. The target was big for Punjab and we bowled in the right areas and put them under pressure.
It's been one way traffic at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and it's been a one man army that has rattled a hapless Kings XI line up. 107 runs, 3 wickets for 21 runs in his four overs - he was absolutely terrific especially after giving away a maiden over to Harris earlier in his innings. Devastating is the word that could describe him. Aravind chipped in with a handy 4 wicket haul to make things easier. The Kings XI were poor with the bat, they never got any partnership going and they didn't do a great deal of good to their net run rate with this massive 85 run defeat. Stay tuned for the presentation.
