PRESENTATION:
Peter Siddle is the Man of the Match for his fantastic bowling through out the match.
Siddle: It has been a tough time for us. But we have really worked hard. That is the funny thing about test matches (On the last 15 minutes), it can get really nervy at times.
Grame Smith is the Man of the Series for his great captaincy and superb batting.
Grame Smith: I wasn't looking to bat this morning. At tea I started thinking about it. And then I decided to come out. Both tails have wagged this series and that has been nightmarish for the captains indeed.
Glenn McGrath has a note of thanks for all the help he has got for his Cancer foundation.
Ricky Ponting: I am very proud of the way we played our cricket. Although the results haven't quite gone the way we would have liked them to. Congratulations to Smith and his team for the way they played their cricket despite being behind the aple at times. My heartbeat was around 180 with the storm approaching (When Taylor asks about the dramatic climax).
Grame Smith: I think 2008 has been a fantastic year for us. It was a good series played in great spirit. Thanks to one and all for the great reception here. We have got a series coming up in South Africa now and we hope that will be played with the same enthusiasm and spirit as well.
Fabulous scenes as South Africa lift the trophy. This indeed is a happy new year for them.
That's it folks. That is the end of test cricket in this Australian summer. We still have some short version action coming up. Hope you have enjoyed following the action as much as we have enjoyed brining it to you. Till we come back with the Limited Overs action, it is good bye and good day from all of us in the comm box...
Johnson to Smith, out Bowled!! Ohh he should have taken the single, Johnson has beaten Smith's defence, angling into the left hander, Smith looks to defend, half hearted prod, lot of gap between bat and pad, the ball finds its way through and it is all over. Smith b Johnson 3(17)
114.1 Johnson to Smith, no run, fuller length delivery on the stumps, Smith defends it, decides against the single
113.6 Hauritz to Ntini, no run, outside the off stump and padded away, another over bowled
113.5 Hauritz to Ntini, FOUR!!, and Ntini goes again, this time a more flowing follow through, the result the same, boundary to long on
113.4 Hauritz to Ntini, FOUR!!, Ntini drives down the ground, there is no one at orthodox mid on, that would have been a simple catch, but the fielder is at silly mid on, that races away!!!
113.3 Hauritz to Ntini, no run, inside edge onto the pads as he looks to defend, amazing stuff!!!
113.2 Hauritz to Ntini, no run, on the stumps, Ntini defends it well
113.1 Hauritz to Smith, 1 run, glances it to fine leg, they have run the single, Ntini on strike now
Nathan Hauritz is back into the attack, Ntini has got his highest score, there are plenty of men around the bat
18 balls remain in this match now or 11 minutes, whichever is later
112.6 Johnson to Ntini, no run, plays that to gully, another over survived!!!
112.5 Johnson to Ntini, no run, on the stumps and keeps a touch low, well bowled and well played!!!
112.4 Johnson to Ntini, 2 runs, outside the off stump, Ntini opens the face of the bat and runs it down to third man
112.3 Johnson to Ntini, 2 runs, full outside the off stump, Ntini gets forward and pushes it to sweeper cover
112.2 Johnson to Ntini, no run, angling into the right hander, Ntini defends it on the off, he is fractionally cutting his pace a bit, perhaps deliberately to keep it on target
112.1 Johnson to Ntini, no run, round the wicket, on the stumps, Ntini defends it back to the bowler
Mitchell Johnson swaps ends
4 overs to go. Every ball that meets Smith's bat must be jarring his broken arm. He is battling through the pain. Test cricket is boring anybody???
111.6 Siddle to Smith, no run, outside the off stump and left alone to the keeper
111.5 Siddle to Smith, no run, defended on the off side, decides not to take a single
111.4 Siddle to Smith, 2 runs, too far outside the off stump, Smith opens the face of the bat and steers it to deep backward point, that was a gentle push, Smith is off the mark, that is immaterialistic

111.2 Siddle to Smith, no run, too far outside off, left alone to the keeper
111.1 Siddle to Smith, no run, back of a length delivery on the off, Smith goes on the backfoot and defends it

110.6 Bollinger to Ntini, no run, on the middle and leg, Ntini looks to defend, inside edge onto the pads
Deja vu for Australia. 2005 Ashes. It was in Australia's favour. Which way will this go?
110.5 Bollinger to Ntini, no run, full outside the leg stump, off the pads to short fine leg, Ntini was thinking about running, Smith says no clearly

110.3 Bollinger to Ntini, no run, fuller length delivery on the off, Ntini defends it it well again
110.2 Bollinger to Ntini, no run, angling away from the right hander, Ntini defends it on the off
110.1 Bollinger to Ntini, no run, on the middle and leg, Ntini goes on the backfoot and defends it on the leg side
