| So friends that is all from the Mecca of Cricket. The match ends in a tame draw thanks to some poor light and weather conditions but there were somethings which were noteworthy. McCullum got a blistering 97 and Sidebottom picked up 4 wickets in the first innings. This was followed up by Vaughan's hundred and Vettori's fifer in the second and finally Oram stole the show with a brisk hundred which ensured that the Kiwis end safely. Do join us for the 2nd Test. Till then it is good bye and good night from all of us... |
| Daniel Vettori is the Man of the Match for his all round performance. He scored 48 runs in the first innings and picked up 5 for 69 too. |
| And the umpires confer, they are having a chat with the captains. Looks like they are offering the light. And there are handshakes all around. So the fact is that the match is over. It ends in a draw then. The players are going back. That is all over friends. |
