All|Overs 1-50
4

to Walton, FOUR, easy pickings for the batsman. It's full in length around middle and leg, Walton nonchalantly clips it over the fielder at short fine leg

4

to Gayle, FOUR, "welcome into the attack Mr. ." Drops it short but well outside off, Gayle moves away and cracks it through the gap at covers

4

to Gayle, FOUR, width on offer and it's been put away. Full and wide outside off, Gayle throws his bat and ends up slicing it over backward point

W

to Gayle, out Caught by Glenn Phillips!! What an excellent catch by Phillips. An absolute b-e-a-u-t-y! Gayle goes after a short one and gets a top edge. The ball flies over the keeper who goes running back, puts in a full length dive and takes it. Can you believe it? Atleast, I can't. Such a sensational catch that was. No Gayle special today as Windies lose their first. Gayle c Glenn Phillips b 12(8) [4s-2]

W

to Walton, out Caught by Kitchen!! Two in two for . Full credit to the fielder on this occasion too. The full length delivery was smacked hard at cover-point where Kitchen plucks out a stunning catch. Moves to his right, puts in a dive and takes it nicely. Both the openers are back in the hut and will be on a hat-trick now. Can he get it? Walton c Kitchen b 7(9) [4s-1]

6

to Andre Fletcher, SIX, that's a flat one! Full and wide outside off, Fletcher reaches for it and smacks it over covers. It's flat and hits the boundary cardboard on the full. Easy call for the third umpire, that

4

Bracewell to Andre Fletcher, FOUR, slapped! Back of a length around off, Fletcher has plenty of time to swat it past the bowler. Beats the fielder at mid-on as it runs away to the fence

4

to Andre Fletcher, FOUR, finds the gap! It's a tossed up delivery on off, Fletcher shimmes down the wicket and drills it through covers. Races away to the ropes in no time

4

to Shai Hope, FOUR, a boundary to end the over! Aimed on the pads again, Hope gets down and sweeps it over the fielder at backward square leg. Two boundaries of that over and the Windies innings is back on track

4

Sodhi to Andre Fletcher, FOUR, that's hammered! Comes down the wicket and converts it into a full toss. It's hit so hard that the man at long-off gets beaten even after putting in a dive

W

Sodhi to Andre Fletcher, out Stumped!! See you later! Sodhi tosses it up and invites Fletcher to come down the track. He does it, goes after it only to get beaten. The keeper has plenty of time to gather the slower one and take down the bails. He had got a boundary on the previous delivery itself, so should have waited for a while before attacking. Andre Fletcher st Glenn Phillips b Sodhi 27(25) [4s-3 6s-1]

W

Bracewell to Mohammed, out Caught by Ross Taylor!! Tame dismissal. Taylor can't believe that it came to him. Nothing shot from Mohammed. Full and outside off, Mohammed drives sans footwork and the ball slices to backward point. Taylor clings on with the help of his chest. Windies in trouble now and the asking rate as rocketed to almost 13. Mohammed c Ross Taylor b Bracewell 3(5)

W

Bracewell to Shai Hope, out Caught by Munro!! Poor cricket from Windies. The batsmen are trying to attack soon after a wicket. Second time they have lost two wickets in one over. In fact, they have lost three in quick time. Half the side back in the hut now. Banged in short and sat up for Hope to pull, he obliges and smacks it straight to mid-wicket. Munro didn't move an inch to take that. Shai Hope c Munro b Bracewell 15(17) [4s-1]

6

Sodhi to Brathwaite, SIX, massive! Much better option for Brathwaite. Floated up outside off, Brathwaite had the room to free his arms and he tonks the loft over the long-off fence. Way back into the banks

6

Sodhi to Brathwaite, SIX, consecutive sixes for the skipper. The scrambled seam leggie, but the length was right in the arc, Brathwaite just went through the line with the shot. Not off the middle but the big man packs a punch

W

to Brathwaite, out Caught by Tom Bruce!! Another soft dismissal. Any hope the Windies had of a fight back goes with Brathwaite. Back of a length around off, Brathwaite stands tall and goes through the line, did not go full monty and hence didn't get the elevation to clear the long-on fielder. Bruce stationed himself under that and took it calmly. Brathwaite c Tom Bruce b 21(14) [6s-2]

W

to Rovman Powell, out Caught by Glenn Phillips!! That is the third time Windies have lost two wickets in the same over. Tells you where they lost the game. A harmless back of a length delivery outside off, Powell was looking to run it down to third man, no footwork meant he had to reach out and the outside edge flies low to the right of Phillip, who dives across to glove that. Rovman Powell c Glenn Phillips b 6(9)

6

to Nurse, SIX, in the air and over the rope. A well-directed short delivery from , Nurse is tad late on the hook and the top-edge sails towards fine leg, beating a leaping Rance to the fence

W

to Kesrick Williams, out Caught by Glenn Phillips!! Fourth dismissal for Phillips. He's having a memorable day. Lovely bowling by . Williams was early in his shimmy and that allowed the tweaker to pull back his length, the ball gripped and turned as well, beat the outside edge and Phillip was quick to remove the bails. Even the third umpire was not required for that. In fact, Williams got some glove on that and is given out caught behind. That makes it an even better take from Phillips. Kesrick Williams c Glenn Phillips b 3(5)

6

to Jerome Taylor, SIX, wow! Top effort from Bracewell. Flighted on off, Taylor stays leg-side of the ball and extends his arms to loft it towards long-off. Bracewell moved across to his right and jumped up, caught the ball in the both hands, but since his momentum was taking him over, he flicked it back in play. However, his boot was in contact with the ad cushions

4

to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, overpitched and Taylor is adding some T20I runs to his account, clears his front leg and drills the drive straight of mid-off, that raced away to the fence

4

to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, Taylor continues to have some fun. Banged in halfway down, got up nicely at Taylor, who has a go and top edges the pull over the keeper, not much or Phillip could have done there

4

to Nurse, FOUR, Nurse joins in. The leg-cutter right in the slot for the batsman to have a swing, Nurse maintains his shape and lofts it over mid-off, just bounces inside the rope

4

to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, third boundary of the over and second time it has gone to fine leg. The short ball that is vanishing, Taylor makes room and pulls, the top-edge runs away fine

W

to Jerome Taylor, out Caught by Tom Bruce!! It just a matter of time. ends his spell with a third wicket. The leg-cutter that held up on the surface, Taylor is backing away to have another mow, cue-ends it towards mid-wicket. Bruce settled under it and pouched it comfortably. Jerome Taylor c Tom Bruce b 20(10) [4s-3 6s-1]

4

to Nurse, FOUR, that's a good shot. Very full ball that landed almost inside the crease, Nurse bends down low, opens the bat face and slices the drive past the diving backward point fielder

W

to Badree, out Lbw!! New Zealand win by 47 runs. Windies still winless on tour. The debutant finishes thing and has made an impressive debut. Ends with: 4-0-30-3. The pin-point yorker, Badree clears his front leg to squeeze it out, the ball sneaks underneath the bat and strikes him on the back pad. Ball-tracking shows it to be crashing into middle and leg. Badree lbw b 2(3)

4

Taylor to Guptill, FOUR, warm-up delivery goes to the fence. Pitches it up and outside off, Guptill leans into the drive and finds the gap at covers. Fantastic shot by Martin to get the first boundary of the match

W

Taylor to Guptill, out Lbw!! That's plumb! An absolutely simple decision for the umpire. Full in length around off, Guptill plays across the line and pays the price for it. That beats his inside edge and raps him straight on the back pad. Guptill doesn't even wait for the umpire's decision and starts to walk off. He knew it was dead plumb and so did the bowler. First blow to the Kiwis! Guptill lbw b Taylor 5(4) [4s-1]

4

to Munro, FOUR, short one outside off, Munro rocks back and slices it over covers. First boundary of the innings for the southpaw

4

Taylor to Munro, FOUR, slower ball receives the treatment. It's slow and short but well outside off, Munro waits for it and pummels it through covers. Races away through the gap there and into the fence

4

Taylor to Munro, FOUR, back-to-back boundaries! This is full and well outside off, Munro goes after it and gets an outside edge that flies over the man at short third man. Width on offer on couple of occasions and Munro has made the most out of it

4

Taylor to Munro, FOUR, good effort in the deep by the fielder. Is that a boundary? Yes, it is! Very full, almost a yorker around off, Munro squeezes it through covers. Brathwaite chases it down and puts in a dive to stop the ball. However, his elbow is in contact with the ropes as he puts in the dive

4

to Munro, FOUR, dropped! Munro gets a life. Throws his bat at this flatter delivery and just beats the fielder at mid-off. Brathwaite gets his hands to it but as the ball was hit hard, the skipper palmed it away to the long-off fence

6

to Glenn Phillips, SIX, that's high, handsome and into the stands! The partnership between Glenn Phillips and Munro is now 50. It's full around off, Phillips gets down on his knee and smokes it over the mid-wicket fence for half a dozen

4

Williams to Munro, FOUR, boundary off the first delivery with the new bat. Shortish on middle, Munro hooks it nicely and beats the fielder at deep square leg

6

Williams to Munro, SIX, this is huge! Clean as a whistle. Short of a length around off, Munro picks the length early and clubs it over the mid-wicket fence. Dropped in the crowd by one of the spectators

6

Williams to Munro, SIX, see ya later, alligator! Pitched full on middle, Munro gets under it and times it over long-on. Half a dozen more to his account. What an over that was! 19 runs scored in it. Change of bat brings change in fortunes for the southpaw

OT

to Munro, 1 run, fourth T20I fifty for Colin Munro! Has been an entertaining innings, indeed. This is fullish on middle, Munro heaves it away to deep square leg to reach his fifty

4

to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, ruins a good over. Just a couple of inches short from the yorker length and is made to pay, Phillips uses his bottom hand to whip it to wide long-on, no chance for the fielder to cut that off

W

to Munro, out Caught by Brathwaite!! Stunner from Brathwaite. He put down a fairly simple chance early in the innings, but makes up for that. Munro departs after his fifty and Windies have broken the partnership. Fires it full and on the stumps, Munro manages to get underneath it, lofts it flat towards long-on, the ball was dipping in front of Brathwaite, but he dives forward and pouches it centimeters from the ground. Absolute jaffa from the Windies captain. Munro c Brathwaite b 53(37) [4s-6 6s-2]

4

to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, grunts in anger. He knew it was a poor delivery. The leg-cutter on a fullish length, Phillips delayed his shot for a second and lofted it over extra cover, couple of bounces and into the fence

6

to Glenn Phillips, SIX, mighty! Phillips making up for lost ground. He's now striking it well over 125. Half volley on middle and leg, the front leg is out of the way to give a free swing for the arms and the flick it over the deep mid-wicket fence

4

to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, welcome back, . Flighted on the stumps, Phillips kneels down and brooms it square, split the two fielders in the deep to perfection - deep square leg and deep mid-wicket. He raises his bat as the scorecard shows him to have reached fifty

OT

to Glenn Phillips, 2 runs, he does now. Maiden T20I fifty. Some hesitation for the second, but they get it with ease. Flatter and on the stumps, nudged away in front of square on the leg-side, Bruce wanted the second and he was off, Phillips was late to react but made it in the nick of time

4

to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, fraction short and that's four more for Phillips. He uses the bit of space on offer to carve the cut behind point, not off the middle but the small boundaries come to his aid

W

to Glenn Phillips, out Bowled!! Cleaned 'im up. comes back roaring to remove Phillips. Another batsman does not kick on after reaching fifty. Flighted on a fullish length, Phillips does not pick the length as he went down on his knees to play the sweep, done in by the dip and the ball sneaks underneath the bat to crash into middle stump. Glenn Phillips b 55(40) [4s-4 6s-2]

W

Taylor to Tom Bruce, out Lbw!! A very poor review from Bruce. He was never getting away with that one, unless there was an inside edge. Taylor dishes out a nice juicy full toss, Bruce shuffles across and misses the trajectory of the ball completely, the ball sneaks past the bat swing and strikes him below the thigh pad. Ball-tracking shows it to be dipping and hitting middle. As plumb as you would get. Tom Bruce lbw b Taylor 2(4)

4

to Ross Taylor, FOUR, sloppy from Badree. Taylor plants his front foot across and fetches the paddle from outside off, the ball went to the left of short fine and Badree makes a mess of it

4

to Kitchen, FOUR, edged and four. Kitchen won't mind that. Fraction short and outside off, Kitchen throws the sink at it and the bottom edge runs away fine. is not a happy man

6

Taylor to Ross Taylor, SIX, bang! That is Taylor at his best. Not . Pitched up right in the slot, Taylor brings his bat down straight and lofts it back over the bowler, flat and into the ad boards

W

Williams to Kitchen, out Bowled!! This is why he is in the side - to bowl the difficult overs. Celebrates the wicket in true Caribbean style. Lovely disguise of the slower ball, Kitchen was backing away to the leg-side, the ball dips on him and goes past his clip, deflects off the pad onto off-stump. Enough contact to remove the bail. In fact there were plenty of deflections, first the inside edge, then the front pad and then the back pad. Unlucky that it went back on. Kitchen b Williams 12(9) [4s-1]

W

to Ross Taylor, out Caught by Jerome Taylor!! Another full toss that gives Windies a wicket. They have certainly put the brakes in the last couple of overs. It was a nice friendly full toss just above the knee, Taylor shuffles a bit and hoicks it to deep mid-wicket, didn't get the elevation to clear the deep mid-wicket fielder. Taylor completes the dolly. Ross Taylor c Jerome Taylor b 20(13) [4s-1 6s-1]

4

to Santner, FOUR, that's more like it. Made a bit of room and was also helped by the shortish length, he got it up and over backward point. Never tried to play it down the ground

W

to Doug Bracewell, out Caught&Bowled!! Wow! That's a freakish catch. Not sure what he was appealing for. Full and on off, Bracewell stays leg-side of the ball and drills the drive straight back, was hit low and in the air, the big West Indian bends down and clings on with both hands. That was hit hard and had very less time to react and considering his height, he has grabbed another stunner. New Zealand falling apart. Doug Bracewell c and b 0(1)

4

to Southee, FOUR, oh! almost had his third. A low full toss on off, Southee shuffles and somehow manages to get some willow on that, squirted off the inside edge past the short fine fielder

6

Williams to Santner, SIX, good start to the over. Santner needs to take New Zealand to 180. Slower delivery right in the slot, Santner was ready with his front leg cleared up, hammers it straight over long-off

4

Williams to Santner, no ball, FOUR, 11 off one ball. Very poor from Williams. He oversteps and dishes out a juicy full toss, Santner swipes it across the line, along the ground and to the left of deep mid-wicket

4

Williams to Southee, no ball, FOUR, absolute rubbish. Second bouncer for the over and Williams has been called for that. He can't believe it. Keeps staring at the wicket. Banged in and even though Southee was on the charge, it was well over his head, the top-edge flies down to fine leg for a one bounce four
