Phew, tense finish there at the end with so much on the line. Afghanistan can breathe easy for now but there's still so much work to do. The Super Six stage will continue tomorrow as Zimbabwe take on Ireland. Expect a good crowd. That's it for now. On behalf of Akshay Maanay, Raju Peethala and our scorer Reddy, this is Sagar Chawla saying goodbye!

Holder, Windies captain: Just a little cramp. Credit to Afghanistan, they played a better cricket game and we let ourselves down. 230 was probably par here. Let ourselves down in the fielding. We had laid a pretty good foundation, had wickets in hand and were ready to launch but it didn't come off today. Their bowlers kept things very tight. Have to regroup and come back against Zimbabwe.

Rashid, Afghanistan captain: Feeling really happy. Didn't play well in the first round. Feels nice to finish off the game today. Today the boys did their job. Bowling was really good. Restricting them under 200 is a big achievement. There were nerves in the chase because we had lost such games previously. Wanted to keep playing till the end. Anything can happen, it's cricket. We want to win all the matches and see what happens. Hope for the best.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Man of the Match: First I would like to congratulate the entire nation on this victory. I am used to bowling with the new ball, so I enjoy it. I don't have any problem with the new ball, I bowl with a new ball in the nets and it helps when I open the attack in the match. I am very happy that the entire team supports me, especially Nabi and Rashid, who give me the confidence when bowling.

16:42 Local Time, 14:42 GMT, 20:12 IST: Afghanistan live to dream another day. They would have been all but out of the WC if they had lost this. It wasn't easy, given how they had botched similar run-chases in the Group Stage. There must have been jitters after they lost Rahmat Shah, who was the backbone of their innings right through. But unlike against Zimbabwe, today the lower-order pulled enough weight to get them over the line. This is no mean feat to beat the Windies, who had come off four consecutive victories previously, and who are still in a strong position despite this defeat. Hang around for the presentations.

Keemo Paul to Sharafuddin Ashraf, FOUR, drills this low full toss through the covers to seal it for Afghanistan. There's the victory cry from Ashraf. Cry of victory and relief. Afghanistan are still afloat
Keemo Paul to Sharafuddin Ashraf, 2 runs, short ball into the body, pulled away limply but effectively in front of deep backward square. They hustle back for two
Keemo Paul to Sharafuddin Ashraf, no run, full toss at the stumps, defended
Keemo Paul to Sharafuddin Ashraf, no run, goodness me, nearly floored Ashraf there with this cracking yorker. Ashraf somehow rushes his bat down to keep it out

Keemo Paul [8.0-1-23-2] is back into the attack

Holder to Sharafuddin Ashraf, 1 run, 119kph, full ball outside off, Ashraf drives to sweeper cover
Holder to Sharafuddin Ashraf, no run, good slower ball outside off, Ashraf plays inside the line of it thinking it will grip the pitch, but it doesn't
Holder to Sharafuddin Ashraf, wide, short ball outside off, given wide. Holder can't believe the decision, has his hands on the knees
Holder to Sharafuddin Ashraf, no run, good length ball outside off, left alone

Sharafuddin Ashraf, left handed bat, comes to the crease

Holder to Naib, out Caught by Rovman Powell!! Another chance for Powell, who hangs onto it this time. Can Windies still pull it off? Pretty needless shot from Naib who tries to go for the big hit, but doesn't quite make the requisite contact and holes out at long-on. Naib c Rovman Powell b Holder 10(14) [4s-1]

Holder to Naib, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Oh dear, Carlos Brathwaite is beside himself with rage. He slaps the turf hard, so much that the sunglasses fly off his cap

Holder to Rashid Khan, 1 run, clipped away through square leg
Holder to Rashid Khan, no run, defended into the off-side
Brathwaite to Naib, no run, punched back to Brathwaite who pretends to throw giving way to some histrionics from Naib
Brathwaite to Rashid Khan, 3 runs, excellent timing on this as Rashid punches the slower ball past backward point. Superbly flicked inside the ropes by Powell, but nothing he does now will redeem that drop
Brathwaite to Rashid Khan, FOUR, Brathwaite slumps to his haunches in dismay as he sees Powell put down the catch. The ball slips away into the boundary to make it worse. This short ball was ramped up by Rashid, hung in the air for a long time allowing Powell enough time to run across from third man. He got there comfortably in the end, but his momentum meant that he wasn't balanced
Brathwaite to Rashid Khan, 2 runs, good length ball slanted in on middle, Rashid closes the bat-face on it and clips it crisply through mid-wicket
Brathwaite to Naib, 1 run, goes back in the crease to punch down to long-on
Brathwaite to Rashid Khan, 1 run, low full toss on off, eased down to long-on

Carlos Brathwaite [8.0-0-28-0] is back into the attack

Holder to Naib, no run, back of a length delivery just outside off, punched back to Holder
Holder to Naib, FOUR, swivels across nicely and whacks the pull away behind square. It's raced to the fence right off the middle. Lots of clapping in the Afghanistan camp
Holder to Naib, no run, hangs back to a length ball and defends back down the pitch
Holder to Rashid Khan, 1 run, short of length leg-cutter on off, Rashid runs it down to third man
Holder to Rashid Khan, no run, banged in short, surprises Rashid who hurries underneath it

Holder is down with cramp, needs the physio's help to loosen up. All set now after a couple of minutes delay

Holder to Naib, 3 runs, awful from Bishoo, who misfields at cover and gives away three runs when there shouldn't have been any. Dipping full toss outside off, Naib stretched out and laced it to the fielder. No great power behind it either, so Bishoo can't have any excuses

Jason Holder [8.0-0-28-2] is back into the attack

Keemo Paul to Rashid Khan, no run, slower ball outside off, punched to the left of Samuels who fumbles but they decide not to risk the single
Keemo Paul to Rashid Khan, no run, short of length delivery outside off, Rashid belatedly decides to go for the upper-cut but the ball is well past him by then
Keemo Paul to Naib, 1 run, short of length delivery just outside off, fended behind backward point
Keemo Paul to Rashid Khan, 1 run, full ball outside off, smeared to deep point

Rashid Khan, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Keemo Paul to Najibullah, out Caught by Nikita Miller!! Oh dear, Najibullah has upper-cut this straight into the hands of third man. He can't believe what he's done, nor can the Afghanistan dressing room. It was a short of length delivery outside off, Najibullah probably was aiming to get it much squarer, but it wasn't to be. Najibullah c Nikita Miller b Keemo Paul 19(26) [4s-1 6s-1]

Keemo Paul to Najibullah, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Keemo Paul to Najibullah, no run, yorker length delivery just outside off, squeezed to backward point

Keemo Paul [7.0-1-21-1] is back into the attack

Nurse to Naib, no run, turned into the on-side
Nurse to Najibullah, 1 run, pushed down to long-on
