commentary

Mickey Arthur asked for a double hundred from Fakhar Zaman and gee he delivered it in some style. How easy? It's been a field day for statsmen and for us too with all the records tumbling one after another. A heap of 'em to be precise. Let's hope for a saner finish on Sunday. Join us back for the fifth and final one at the same ground, same time. Until then, cheers and goodbye!!

"Thanks to almighty. That's what we need batting first. Imam and Fakhar gave us a solid platform. It's good that our top order batsmen are getting runs. When we go to field, our target was to bowl them under 160 and we executed our plans. We will try our level best to win the next game," Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan captain.

"Thanks to almighty. Imam played really well in the start and he supported me well. I think today was my day. I knew about Saeed's record. Mickey [Arthur] told us before toss that if we win toss we are going to bat and he asked me to score a double ton. He was telling me the same thing two days before as well. Imam is playing really well and he keeps talking to me whenever I feel not comfortable. We play together in domestic cricket. I was feeling tired in the field and hopefully I'll get some treatment from the physio. I'll try not to give them (middle order batsmen) the chance in the next game," an elated and an equally tired Fakhar Zaman who is just 20 short of becoming the quickest to 1000 runs in ODI cricket. Sir Viv got there 21 innings, and Fakhar still has four innings left

"Never really in the game, they put us under pressure from ball one. Fakhar played exceptionally well and we found it difficult to rein him in. We fell way short in all three departments today. It's always going to be difficult chasing 400, you have to go for your shots from ball one and that's always not easy. Hope we can turn up on Sunday and play better than we did today," Hamilton Masakadza, the Zimbabwean skipper.

16:16 local: Zimbabwe faced 256 deliveries in total and I'm pretty sure at least 150 of 'em are dots. When you're chasing 400 and play those many dot balls, you better be prepared for the inevitable. A listless performance overall from the hosts. They, however, can draw a couple of positives in skipper Hamilton Masakadza and Elton Chigumbura who both showed some intent to fight and that should give them a slight bit of confidence going into the fifth and final game of the series. But that's for Sunday. For now, Zimbabwe lost to Fakhar Zaman by 55 runs. That's the story of the game.

Shadab Khan to Ngarava, out Lbw!! Ngarava had no clue which way the ball's spinning. Looks to swipe and misses, hit plumb in front. Second biggest ODI win for Pakistan (in terms of runs). And with that, the series stands at 4-0 with one more game to go. Ngarava lbw b Shadab Khan 1(8)

Shoaib Malik to Tendai Chisoro, out Caught by Usman Khan!! High in the air and gone! Goes for a big hoick and played that across the line. An absolute miscue that. Usman Khan had all the time in the world at long-off to settle underneath that. Tendai Chisoro c Usman Khan b Shoaib Malik 1(3)

Shadab Khan to Tiripano, out Bowled!! Dragged on! Chases a wide legbreak and cuts it off the bottom edge back onto the stumps. There was very little pace on that and Tiripano had to force all the power on that, wasn't an ideal shot to play considering the pace on the ball. He pays the price and is denied his maiden half-ton in ODI cricket. Tiripano b Shadab Khan 44(71) [4s-5]
