commentary

That is it from game number 1. In less than 24 hours they will be back locking horns again. Our team waves you tada!

Sarfraz Ahmed, Man of the Match: Good thing is that the team is winning. I am backing myself and the coaches have been helping me. T20 is a different format and you take it ball after ball if you are not in form. We came here yesterday, could not practice because of rain but the boys did well. If you are the number 1 team, the pressure is on you when you are playing teams like Scotland and Ireland.

Kyle Coetzer: Was a good wicket and credit to Sarfraz who played a good knock and put us under pressure. He was the difference in the end. Some high quality spinners in that Pakistani line up. We feel we can play spinners and we have done that in the last couple of months. Hope we will work on it in times to come.

Scotland started off on top gear in the first six overs but they forgot the accelerator button for the rest of the essay. Spinners choked the life out of the chase to ensure Pakistan's amazing form in the shortest version of the game continues. Hang on for the presentations.

The fairytale for Scotland will not have another version. The giant killers were up against the mercurial giants and the result is a smooth sailing by 48 runs for the latter. Skipper Sarfraz (89 off 48) anchored the innings in the middle over and blazed along towards the end. That though was done in tag-team effort with Shoaib Malik, who also registered a fifty. Once they managed more than 200, it was always going to be an uphill task.
