commentary

Sarfraz picks up the trophy, and gets his teammates to join him. They'll have a tougher test awaiting them in July in the tri-nation series involving Australia and Zimbabwe, but for now they can cherish their T20 dominance. That's all from us here. Until next time, goodbye.

Sarfraz, Pakistan captain: We try to execute our plans. Want to credit our bowling lineup to defend targets in such small grounds. Feels good when new guys perform well. The likes of Faheem Ashraf, Shadab, Hasan Ali, Hussain Talat. The way Usman Khan bowled, it feels good. Fitness is really important in today's fast-paced cricket. We knew Scotland would come hard with the bat. We fielded really well. No praise is enough for this young team. Coaching staff worked hard too.

Coetzer, Scotland captain: Wasn't an ideal day for us. Want to thank the guys for the efforts. Pakistan came out with a high quality seam attack and the early wickets put us in trouble. They hit their lengths hard, the left-arm spinner mixed it up as well. Great opportunity to play the No.1 side in the world. This is where we want to be testing ourselves. Today we obviously struggled with our batting.

Usman Khan, MoM: Whenever I get an opportunity, I try to perform and solidify my place. Weather is cold. Keep discussing with my fellow bowlers on how to go about it. Our squad is filled with superb players. Even the coach reckons it's difficult to pick the XI.

18:57 Local Time, 17:57 GMT, 23:27 IST: Another series in the bag for Pakistan, maintaining their perfect record since the T20 WC in 2016. The match probably slipped away from Scotland when Shoaib Malik smashed an unbeaten 49 off 22 balls towards the end of the first innings. The hosts had been very disciplined until then. It was a completely different story in the chase though, which was a no-contest as Pakistan dominated from start to finish. Very premature finish at that, with Scotland getting bowled out in the 15th over. Usman Khan rocked the boat early with two wickets in his opening spell, before everyone else washed their hands in the gravy train.

Faheem Ashraf to Evans, out Caught by Sarfraz!! Nicked and gone. Back of length delivery outside off, Evans has a waft at it, but only succeeds in getting it through to Sarfraz. That's the match, and the series, to Pakistan. Evans c Sarfraz b Faheem Ashraf 0(2)

Faheem Ashraf to MacLeod, out Caught&Bowled!! Length ball outside off, sliced up for an easy return catch. Was a rather hopeless situation for MacLeod, and this was pretty much a shot played in anger and frustration. Wanted to heave it away through mid-wicket, but the bottom hand came off as he lost his shape. MacLeod c and b Faheem Ashraf 26(27) [4s-2]

Shadab Khan to Mark Watt, out Mark Watt Run Out!! Reverse-swept to short third man, and another baffling run out. They seem to be in a hurry to get this over with. Again, no run there after the ball went straight to the fielder, MacLeod told his partner as much, but by then it was too late. Mark Watt run out (Usman Khan/Sarfraz) 1(2)

Shadab Khan to Safyaan Sharif, out Safyaan Sharif Run Out!! Oh dear. Going from bad to ridiculous for Scotland. Sharif defended this to the right of the bowler, and inexplicably kept on running despite no response from MacLeod. It leads to his inevitable run-out. Safyaan Sharif run out (Shadab Khan/Sarfraz) 10(8) [6s-1]

Shadab Khan to Matthew Cross, out Caught by Fakhar Zaman!! Excellent catch. It was hit flat and low, Zaman bends down while keeping his eyes on it and grabs it pretty close to the ground.
