Joseph to Dhawan, FOUR, short ball, short arm jabbed cut. The ball speeds away into the fence. No stopping that! Just a hint of room and Dhawan pounced on it

4

Joseph to Dhawan, FOUR, airy drive past the man at point and the ball races past him for a four. The ball taking the outer part of the bat and then speeding away. It was not a bad ball by any stretch of imagination but Dhawan is in such form

4

Joseph to Rahane, FOUR, pulled back length, bit of room and Rahane cashes into it with a back foot punch. Lovely timing coupled with placement to stroke it between point and cover. Spoils a good over from Joseph

4

to Dhawan, FOUR, both feet in the air, the batsman hops up and connects brutally on that. Dropped short and Dhawan picked the bones out of it by launching it over extra cover. One bounce and the ball smashes into the fence

4

to Rahane, FOUR, short, wide, shouts of catch it but the ball pierces the gap with serenity between point and cover to rocket away into the fence

4

Joseph to Rahane, FOUR, full, overpitched and the batsman got his back knee onto the ground and leant into the drive to needle it through the covers. Gorgeous from Rahane!

4

to Rahane, FOUR, chops the ball away. That will go away to the fence fine on the off-side. Did he intend to play it that fine? Yes, suggests the replays. He played it late to run it past slip and get it away into the fence

4

Cummins to Rahane, FOUR, that was as easy as baking a pie is. Short, too short. Rahane was waiting for it and then hammers the pull through mid-wicket for a four

4

Cummins to Rahane, FOUR, phew! That was a straight drive filled with purpose and a statement. He hardly moved after leaning into the drive. It sped past everyone. A length delivery and Rahane just presented the full face of the bat

4

to Dhawan, FOUR, the pressure release shot. The big brooming sweep. The man at square leg had no chance to cut it off as Dhawan knelt down to put it away

4

to Dhawan, FOUR, drops it short and pays the price. Dhawan pivots back and smacks the pull past mid-wicket for a well timed four. He did drop his back knee on the ground

4

Cummins to Dhawan, FOUR, short ball onto the body, Dhawan is quick to prowl on that. The plumetted pull gets the better of the dive from the man at fine leg. He got to the ball but the momentum was enough to take it away

OT

Cummins to Dhawan, 1 run, 100 runs between these two!! The batsman mistimes the drive into the off-side and two men hare through for a single

4

Cummins to Rahane, FOUR, not a ceremonious way to get to a fifty on a comeback trail but that will do! Looks to drive, gets an outside, no slips and the ball whizzes past the hapless keeper and into the fence. 17th ODI fifty for Rahane

6

Joseph to Dhawan, SIX, an edge for Rahane to reach fifty and whiplash off the pads for Dhawan. Different ways but as important as the other. That was full and on the pads, the batsman drop-kicked it into the vacant backward square region without losing any sweat. Just a wave of the bat on reaching the milestone. The golden run with the bat continues

4

Joseph to Rahane, FOUR, another edge, another four. Cruel batsman's game. A length ball, a drive, the edge taken, no one at slip and the result is an addition of four runs to the tally

4

Bishoo to Dhawan, FOUR, poor ball, dragged down, too much of time for Dhawan to rock back and flat bat the pull away towards the vacant square leg region

W

Joseph to Rahane, out Caught by Holder!! The slower delivery does the trick. Trying to loft it down the ground was early into the shot and could only manage to bobble a catch to mid-on. The ball hitting climbed onto the bat as the slower did him in. Rahane didn't pick it up and that plotted his downfall. First strike for the Windies. Rahane c Holder b Joseph 62(78) [4s-8]

6

Joseph to Dhawan, SIX, horrible delivery to end the over. Tried the off-pace delivery and paid the price, sat up nicely for Dhawan, who just waited and swatted it over the deep mid-wicket fence for a maximum

4

Cummins to Dhawan, FOUR, that's his favourite shot - the whip. Cummins goes on the pads and is picked away with disdain, just a twirl of the wrists and the ball races away to the deep backward square fence

4

Cummins to Kohli, FOUR, Windies became too predictable in their plans. The short ball and Kohli this time was waiting for it, plays the forehand pull shot in front of square. Not off the middle but the ball had enough gas to beat Powell's dive at deep mid-wicket

W

Bishoo to Dhawan, out Lbw!! Dhawan misses out on a hundred. India lose their only review. West Indies have a breakthrough and it is a huge one as Dhawan was looking set for a big ton. It was a very full delivery from Bishoo and Dhawan played all round it, wanted to work it into the on-side, missed and is hit low on the pad, the ball did not have to travel far and would have crashed into middle. Dhawan consults Kohli and after a long thought they decide to review, but it had everything going against it. Dhawan lbw b Bishoo 87(92) [4s-8 6s-2]

W

to Yuvraj, out Caught by Lewis!! roars in delight. Yuvraj puts his head back and walks off. Not a wicket taking delivery, but West Indies have got one. Length delivery on the pads, Yuvraj unfurls the mighty whip, but does not bother to keep it down. The fielder at mid-wicket was well inside the 30-yard circle and Lewis clings on to a smart catch. It came right off the middle and the ball was traveling quickly as well. Did well to get his body behind. Yuvraj c Lewis b 4(10)

4

Cummins to Dhoni, FOUR, gifted from Cummins and Dhoni accepts it gleefully. Low full toss at gentle pace, all Dhoni had to do was pick his spot, caresses the drive between extra cover and mid-off, relied on timing rather than power
