So that is it from here. We are done with the warm-ups. Now it is time for the big event. We have a day's rest and we will meet on 30th May, 2019 for Match 1 between England and South Africa at The Oval, London at 1030 local (0930 GMT). For now, goodbye.

Windies skipper, Jason Holder, says it is a good win and he hopes it is building towards something special in the World Cup. Mentions Gayle gave them the impetus they needed at the start and the rest did exceptionally well. Further adds he is pleased with the bowlers and how they stuck to the plans. States there were a few blunders towards the end in the field but overall they had a good game. Tells they need to pay more attention to their fielding. Ends by saying they just want to enjoy their cricket in the World Cup and see where it takes them.

New Zealand, Kane Williamson, he thought the exercise today was outstanding, they know what the Windies are capable of and they showed their power today. Mentions they expect their bowling attack to be under pressure throughout the tournament and today was a good learning curve but not everyday can be their day. Credits Tom Blundell for the way he played, it was a knock under pressure and he did really well. States he can't reveal the information of whether they will play Blundell in the first game or not but he is happy with how he played.

Tom Blundell who is up for an interview, says he feels very good, it was a great day for him and he is happy he got a ton. States he is happy to spend some time out in the middle. Further adds the last few days have been good, they have had two good games and they are looking forward to the game against Lanka. Mentions he just backed his ability and he is confident when he goes out to bat. He is hopeful of getting a chance in the World Cup. Tells he has still no idea about his inclusion in the XI for the first game but he is happy if he plays or not. Ends by saying the target was always going to be a tough one and he is pleased with how they finished in the end.

The Windies bowling was very good to begin with. Till the time the ball was new, Cottrell, Thomas and Holder, all did a good job. However, once the ball got soft, their bowlers did take a pounding. Only Nurse was able to bowl a good spell during the middle overs. Carlos Brathwaite though finished as the pick of the bowlers as he ended with a three-fer.

A comfortable win for the Windies! An absolute morale boosting one for them. After Shai Hope's ton and handy innings from Lewis and Russell, they posted a massive 422. In reply, New Zealand needed a powerful start but they did not get it. They lost three even before they got to 50. Williamson and Blundell then steadied the ship. The two added a 120-run stand but just as they started to get going, the skipper got run out. Blundell then came out of his shell though, he started playing lovely shots, smashed the bowlers out of the park and got to a ton. However, the task was too much of an ask and once he fell, it was all about playing out the 50 overs for the Kiwis which they did.
