All|Overs 1-50
4

to Warner, FOUR, short and wide from over the wicket, thrashed over the off-side infield

4

to D'Arcy Short, FOUR, lays into this pull shot. Fetching from outside off and swatting it across the line through mid-wicket. Doesn't even rock back

W

to D'Arcy Short, out Caught by Ross Taylor!! Now pulls it straight to Ross Taylor at mid-wicket. He had cracked a similar pull earlier in the over but this was further outside off, so D'Arcy Short wasn't in control of this fetch-pull. D'Arcy Short's short debut is done. D'Arcy Short c Ross Taylor b 4(4) [4s-1]

W

to Warner, out Caught by Tom Bruce!! That's a terrific catch from Bruce. Presence of mind. Calmness at full display. Short ball, Warner takes it on and drags the pull off the top-edge towards deep mid-wicket. Bruce sets himself up at the circumference, clasps it safely and for a fleeting moment, loses balance; recovers well in time, flicks the ball in the air and takes the rebound. To be fair, it wasn't as dramatic as I mentioned. Warner c Tom Bruce b 6(8) [4s-1]

4

to Chris Lynn, FOUR, that's a gimme outside off. Short and wide, Lynn unleashes his arms and flays it over over. One bounce and over the ropes

4

to Chris Lynn, FOUR, full and wide, and the result is the same. Lynn gets low, down on one knee and thumppp! Carves it up and over cover

4

to Chris Lynn, FOUR, short and that's punished. Lynn shuffles across, goes down on one knee and swipes the life out of that delivery. No-one behind square

4

to Chris Lynn, FOUR, goes on the back foot to convert this into a short ball, and then stabs it with superb precision, piercing the gap between cover and extra cover

4

to Maxwell, FOUR, that's a Maxi special. You won't see that often, but when you do, just stand and admire this man. Spots the length late, but readjusts superbly with an open bat face to ramp it over the keeper, with an air of nonchalance. So pleasing to the eye...

4

Sodhi to Chris Lynn, FOUR, flat and fast outside off, Lynn has clobbered that in the gap, smashes it past a diving backward point and way she goes...

6

Grandhomme to Maxwell, SIX, stands still, uses his magical arms to power the loft over mid-on. All the way. "Look at the quality, look at the class," an exuberant KP on air

6

to Chris Lynn, SIX, Lynn is unleashing here. Showing all that he's got. Gets down on one knee, picks his spot on the leg-side and flashes it over backward square for a flat maximum

4

to Maxwell, FOUR, stays leg-side of the delivery and slams the drive inside out over extra cover. Williamson's dive goes in vain

4

Sodhi to Chris Lynn, FOUR, flat, short, on the stumps - that's a goodbye description for Chris Lynn. Transfers his weight onto the back foot and mauls the pull in the gap between deep square and deep mid-wicket

4

Sodhi to Maxwell, FOUR, one bounce and over the ropes! Lots of flight, making life easy for Maxwell who picks it up below his eyesight to deposit a clean blow over the bowler's head

W

to Chris Lynn, out Caught by Ish Sodhi!! Another short ball, and Lynn comes second. Pulls, but too much pace on the delivery meant he was rushed onto the shot and mistimed it into the safe hands of Sodhi at deep backward square. Chris Lynn c Ish Sodhi b 44(33) [4s-6 6s-1]

4

to Maxwell, FOUR, he doesn't believe in singles, does he? Unveils those whippy-fast hands to power the half-flick/half-pull backwards of square leg

4

to Maxwell, FOUR, Australia win in style, by 7 wickets. Maxi stood back, picked up this half-volley and dismissed it over mid-off for a one-bounce smash

4

Richardson to Guptill, FOUR, glanced to the fine leg boundary. On the pads and easy pickings. Richardson not getting his lines right here

W

to Munro, out Caught by Carey!! First take for Carey in T20Is. Shuffles across to his right and pouches this top-edge by Munro, who was undone by a bit of pace and carry on this short ball. Couldn't shift his weight back, went for the pull against 's angle from over the wicket and paid the price. Munro c Carey b 3(3)

W

to Guptill, out Bowled!! Now, now, is on a hat-trick! Guptill is caught in his crease while defending this, and gets the ball to nip away just a touch. Off-stump, wow, gone. Talk about starts.. Guptill b 5(5) [4s-1]

W

to Tom Bruce, out Caught by Kane Richardson!! Short again, pulled again, top-edged again, caught again. is helluva quick. 143ks this time and it's good enough for Tom Bruce. More like a last-minute decision to pull, because he was so surprised, and holes out at deep square. Third wicket for in the eight balls he's bowled today. Tom Bruce c Kane Richardson b 3(3)

4

Richardson to Ross Taylor, FOUR, edge flies between Lynn at first slip and the keeper. A bit of extra bounce and Ross Taylor's cutting that without much room, so elicits that edge. Lynn is standing in a wide slip position and had no chance

W

Tye to Williamson, out Caught by Warner!! It's Warner, so it's not even surprising that he's pulled this off. Early into trying to work this cross-seamer round the corner, Williamson gets the leading edge that spoons high. Warner turns back at extra cover say, runs and takes it in front of him, almost completely blind to the trajectory of the ball. Superb take. And Williamson's 21-ball agony is over. Williamson c Warner b Tye 8(21)

OT

to Ross Taylor, leg byes, 1 run, Ross Taylor comes down the track and misses the quicker ball, struck on pads and Australia have taken a review for LBW. It looked outside the line, but Warner seems to very confident. No bat involved for sure. Impact outside the line and umpire's decision will stay.

W

to Tom Blundell, out Caught by Kane Richardson!! Fifth one back in the pavilion and NZ are in real trouble now. Flighted delivery outside off, Tom Blundell comes down the track and wanted to loft it over cover, gets it off the inner half of the blade and ends up dragging it to long-off where Richardson takes a fine catch. Tom Blundell c Kane Richardson b 14(16)

4

to de Grandhomme, FOUR, It was short and de Grandhomme is onto it in a flash. He gets in a good position quickly and pulls it handsomely through mid-wicket for a boundary. NZ require more of these

6

to de Grandhomme, SIX, hits it with the turn and deposits it into the stands. Flighted delivery outside off, de Grandhomme backs a touch, makes room, holds his shape and lofts it over cover. Gets the elevation as well as distance.

6

to de Grandhomme, SIX, this is a meaty blow, it has gone a long long way. De Grandhomme gets down on his knees and slog sweeps it over mid-wicket, gets it off the middle of the willow and it has gone 99 meters.

W

to Ross Taylor, out Caught by Carey!! This is a huge wicket, Ross taylor was in and he could have been lethal in the final overs. Ross Taylor sprints down the track and wanted to carve it to the off-side, gets it off the toe end of the bat and Carey takes a fine catch. He takes the bails off too but that wasn't required. Ross Taylor c Carey b 24(35) [4s-1]

W

Tye to Santner, out Caught by Warner!! Knuckle ball from Tye, this is why he is so special. This is the reason he went for a hefty amount in the T20 League auction. That delivery totally defeats Santner and he was too early in the shot, ball scoops up in the air over mid-wicket where Warner takes a sitter of sitters in the deep. He punches the air in delight. Santner c Warner b Tye 1(4)

6

Tye to de Grandhomme, SIX, this is absolutely massive from de Grandhomme, he is taking them to something to bowl at. de Grandhomme gets it the good position quickly and smashes it over mid-wicket for a maximum. 97 meters hit.

6

Richardson to Southee, SIX, Southee replicates de Grandhomme now. It was slower delivery and touch short, came at a comfortable height for Southee and he hoicks it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum

W

Tye to Southee, out Caught by Stoinis!! Another one bites the dust and NZ are looking down the barrel here. It was a normal pace delivery and Southee probably was waiting for a slower ball, he flicks it uppishly to deep backward square leg where Stoinis grabs a fine catch. Southee c Stoinis b Tye 9(6) [6s-1]

W

Tye to Ish Sodhi, out Bowled!! Tye finishes off the innings in style, off stump goes for a toss. This has been dream of a spell from Tye. It was a normal pace delivery angling in to Ish Sodhi, who misses it and ball strikes the timber. Ish Sodhi b Tye 0(3)
