commentary

3/10 with the ball and 103 off 58 with the bat - that's was Glenn Maxwell's day at work today. And, without any doubt, he gets the Man of the Match award. Well, that's all we have from this game. Australia now have two wins in two matches. These two teams will lock horns again at Melbourne on Saturday before flying further south to New Zealand. Do join us there. Until then, it's goodbye!

23:03 Local Time, 12:03 GMT, 17:33 IST: The crowd are going ballistic here at the Bellerive Oval. Six, ton and a win to wrap up the match. Maxwell, the hero! He came to bat in when Willey removed Warner and Lynn in the very first over of the chase. The Victorian all-rounder along with D'Arcy Short, not only steadied the ship, but also kept the asking rate under check with a 70+ partnership for the third wicket. Maxwell lost three partners, but he had a calm head over his shoulders. He put a price on his wicket and ensured that he took the team over the finishing line. A superb all-round performance from the hosts. Earlier in the evening, their bowlers did a fantastic job to restrict the England score to 155, from 96/3 in the tenth over.

Mark Wood to Maxwell, SIX, Maxwell finishes it off in a grand way! Second T20I century for Glenn Maxwell and Australia win by 5 wickets. A pacy fullish length ball angled in on leg, Maxwell moves leg-side and swings his bat hard to biff it over deep mid-wicket. Gets it just over the fielder manning the fence. He has his arms aloft and then gets hugged by his partner

Adil Rashid to Maxwell, no run. Jason Roy takes a low catch at long-off and he claims the catch. Maxi doesn't want to leave. The umpires decide to go up. The soft signal is OUT. Fair delivery. Lots of boos in the Bellerive Oval as the replay is being flashed on the giant screen. Has that been grassed? Touch and go! The third umpire has overturned the call. NOT OUT! Maxwell survives. Michael Clarke reckons that it was a clean catch. Roy shakes his head and is distraught. It was a flighted leg-break and Maxwell backed away to go over the covers. Doesn't quite time it and ended up lofting it off the toe end. Roy, initially misjudged it and then later bent forward to gather that. Was there enough evidence there to over-rule the onfield call? I'll let you to decide. A fair call from the TV umpire, IMO
